The final of Neuro Impact Challenge

The final of Neuro Impact Challenge

Science in Ukraine is truly strong!

Last week, the final stage of the Neuro Impact Challenge project competition took place — an initiative that brought together science, government, and business around innovations in the field of neurology.

So, we congratulate the winners!

1st place – FAZENA team

They presented a targeted approach to Alzheimer’s disease therapy, taking into account the genetic characteristics of patients.

2nd place – CerebroFractal team

Their development is aimed at objectifying MRI diagnostics of neurocognitive disorders, in particular Alzheimer’s disease, through quantitative analysis of atrophic changes in the brain.

3rd place – Bogomoletz Institute Research Team

They presented the potential of CBN as a neuroprotective agent and a means of reducing seizure activity, opening new opportunities for the treatment of neurological conditions.

Experts from various fields from the public sector to clinical medicine took part in working with the projects:

Maryna Zenova, Advisor to the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine on Public-Private Partnership, focused on the integration of scientific developments into the real sector of the economy and scaling cooperation between science and business.

Olha Kronda, Head of the Innovation Development Department at the Ukrainian IP Office, analyzed the intellectual component of the projects, their patentability, and commercialization potential.

Dmytro Lebedynets, PhD, Head of the Stroke Center at Feofaniya Clinical Hospital, assessed the clinical feasibility, safety, and real-world implementation potential of the solutions in the healthcare system.

Representatives of YURiA-PHARM also joined the evaluation: teams from R&D, strategic marketing, and customer relations analyzed the scientific novelty, technological maturity, and potential for creating real pharmaceutical and medical products.

We sincerely thank all participants and finalists for their meaningful, practical, and bold scientific solutions. Special thanks to the experts and partners for their professional support and constructive feedback.

We are convinced that it is the systemic support of science by the state and responsible business that creates the conditions for the emergence of solutions that transform approaches to treatment and strengthen Ukrainian medicine.
