YURiA-PHARM expands its manufacturing presence in Uzbekistan: results of Reka-Med Farm modernization
YURiA-PHARM’s development in Uzbekistan is gradually expanding beyond its commercial presence in the market. One of the key priorities of the company’s international strategy is the localization of production, technology transfer, and implementation of unified quality standards across the group’s manufacturing facilities.
In 2023, the pharmaceutical company Reka-Med Farm became part of YURiA-PHARM. In 2025, the company launched a modernization program aimed at expanding production capacity, automating processes, and implementing international GMP standards.
Key achievements to date:
-
50% increase in production capacity — the modernization program aims to increase the target capacity to 13.5 million units annually.
-
Approximately 350 standard operating procedures and 100–150 specifications have been developed as part of improvements to the quality management system.
-
10–15 minutes instead of several hours — response times to production incidents have been reduced to this level through improvements in process management systems.
-
Approximately 300 employees work at the facility, including specialists from Ukraine who are involved in technology transfer and the implementation of manufacturing standards.
As part of the modernization program, water treatment, sterilization, and ventilation systems have been upgraded, cleanrooms have been modernized, and the SCADA digital process control system has been implemented.
A significant milestone was obtaining GMP certification for the production line manufacturing infusion solutions in glass containers. The facility is already manufacturing YURiA-PHARM medicines, including Reosorbilact and Tivortin — brands that rank first and second in Uzbekistan’s retail pharmaceutical market for the August 2025 – July 2026 period (MAT), according to Proxima Research.
The modernization of Reka-Med Farm is part of YURiA-PHARM’s long-term strategy to expand its international presence and strengthen its in-house manufacturing capabilities. Scaling the business internationally creates additional opportunities to reinforce the Ukrainian company’s market position, advance its technological capabilities, and support further growth both in Ukraine and in international markets.
