The product improves the quality of life of patients undergoing haemodialysis due to prevention and treatment of L-carnitine . Replacement therapy with Carnivit in patients undergoing haemodialysis provides:
- anabolic effect – increases muscle strength and maximal О2 consumption, increases serum concentrations of crude protein and albumin;
- cardioprotective effect – antianginal and antiarrhythmic action, helps prevent cardiomegaly;
- antianemic effect – increases haematocrit, contributes to stabilization of erythrocyte membrane, reduces the need for erythropoietin;
- reduces procedural complications (episodes of hypotension and muscle cramps).
